The best way to reach the site is by email at hello@calculatesteps.com. Messages are read by the site's author.
Corrections
If a figure or a factual claim here is wrong, please say so. The most useful message includes:
- the page address
- the specific claim or number in question
- what you believe the correct figure is
- a source, if you have one — including your own measurement, if you walked it
Substantive corrections are made to the page and the last-updated date is revised. How this works is set out in the editorial policy.
Route suggestions
Suggestions for walks worth adding are welcome. The routes that work best here are between two well-known fixed points, walkable in under two hours, with something worth saying about the ground in between.
Privacy requests
To make a request under the GDPR, the CCPA or any comparable law — access, deletion, correction, or objection to processing — email the address above with "Privacy request" in the subject line. See the privacy policy for what data is involved.
Advertising and commercial enquiries
Advertising on this site is served programmatically through Google AdSense. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid links, guest posts, or link insertions, and messages proposing them will not receive a reply.
Response times
This is a site run by one person. Corrections are prioritised and usually handled within a few days. Everything else may take longer.
